Chrysal

International e-commerce platform for florists and growers

Chrysal International

Chrysal International, global market leader in cut flower and plant care products, was looking for a partner to take the next step on e-commerce. Chrysal wanted a scalable B2B e-commerce platform for the international market. The multilingual webshops also had to be manageable from a single system. With this platform, Chrysal is now ready for worldwide online sales to florists and growers.

Prior to the development of the e-commerce platform, we worked out the scope of the project in a definition document. In this way we found out where Chrysal wanted to grow to and what challenges we would face with this. The end result is a scalable multilingual multishop who makes it easy for Chrysal to sell their products directly to florists and growers.

The basis for many years of cooperation has been laid and the system will soon be expanded. Among other things, a link with their ERP system, connecting even more countries and a complete integration of the website and shop are planned.

An exciting deadline

Jorrit (the owner of Tritac) visited us a few years ago to talk about e-commerce. He then made it clear to us that e-commerce requires more than just a platform and advised us to first prepare our own organisation for e-commerce before entering into a partnership with Tritac. In 2017 we started to accelerate a B2B e-commerce proposition for our company and of course Tritac, led by Jorrit, was invited to give a demo of their software, the platform Katana.

From the first contact with Jorrit, the relationship felt good. For me, honesty and trust in each other are the most important reasons to do business. The sobriety and no-nonsense mentality with which Jorrit and Raoul gave the demo together with the functionality and stability of the platform made us decide to work with the company Tritac.

In the development phase we asked a lot of the developers and we also set a very tough deadline. Although the team was not used to working with such a deadline and despite the fact that they were implementing scrum project management at that time, they managed to meet this deadline. As a company we have great respect for this. We look forward to a long term cooperation with great pleasure.
